Classic Oat and Date Cookies | One Pot Chef



Oat and Date Cookies are a classic, old fashioned baked treat. Featuring juicy, sweet date pieces, rolled oats and a hint of cinnamon, these cookies are crunchy yet chewy, sweet yet spiced and guaranteed to be snapped up in minutes - give it a try today!

Ingredients:

3/4 Cup of Dried Pitted Dates (about 100g, chopped)
150g of Butter (I used unsalted)
1/2 Cup of White Sugar
1/2 Cup of Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon
1 Cup of Plain Flour
1/4 Teaspoon of Bicarbonate Soda (aka Baking Soda)
3 Tablespoons of Boiling Water
1 Egg
3 1/2 Cups of Rolled Oats

Preparation Time: About 10 minutes
Cooking Time: About 12 minutes per tray (bake one tray at a time)

MAKES APPROX. 30 to 40 COOKIES
